New Zealand Koru wool princess - Waldorf Spring in New Zealand

Deep in the New Zealand bush,a little Koru forest princess dwells. With her beautiful unfurling fern frond, she swayed in the gentle breeze and smiled. When the trampers walked by, they could not detect her, thou they commented on the beautiful ferns laid out on the forest floor.

KORU-The Koru is the Maori name given to the new unfurling fern frond and symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace.
This small princess measures approx 8 cm high
Needle felted in 100% pure New Zealand wool

Nice for the Spring nature table

Waldorf inspired

PS fern not included

New Zealand Tui

John Gerrard Keulemans was a young Dutch artist
He illustrated "Buller's Birds of New Zealand"
In the 1880's. I used his painting as a guide
To make my wool Tui
A New Zealand native bird that visits my garden.

It is for SALE Here
