Mother and child

I have always been interested in children
I have always been interested in Mothers
Mothers are I feel undervalued in today's society
Becoming a Mother is such a wonderful thing
To hold your baby close to your heart
To let it listen to your heart beat
Two hearts beating as one
A gift from the heavens

Cheers Marie

  1. This is so true, sometimes in this busy life we forget this...

    Love the colours in this.

  2. beautiful- mother's a sacred, a divine calling- and they are undervalued, but thats because they are what makes the world go round, and if we attack mother's families, etc. then what do we have? I am grateful to be a mother, my greatest achievement. ANd wool carpet, wow!

  5. I agree, too many people see motherhood as something that may interfere with their lives instead of something to enrich it.
    Also love the red hair!

  10. I couldn't agree more. Motherhood is a 24 hour a day / 7 day a week job and so many people don't really understand that. It is beautiful and sweet . . . but sometimes tiring and hectic. So much selfless, undeniable, love goes into Mothering. This piece reflects that warmth beautifully. Thank you for sharing :)
